It is worth going to any store with cosmetics – your eyes run up! Creams – an incredible amount, and all – nourish, moisturize, rejuvenate, tighten, smooth. They also contain collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, extracts or extracts from something, and natural oils. This is what we read, which is written on the package in large print. We read – and I want to believe! And it’s a pity to let the jar out of my hands, it’s already like my own. It is clear that very competent designers have worked on the appearance of this jar, and experienced psychologists have worked on the inscriptions on it.

No cream can radically remove wrinkles for one simple reason – they are formed in the lower layer of the skin, and the cream can only affect the upper layers. Although this, of course, does not mean that the skin does not need to be nourished and moisturized. The question is – what?

Today let’s talk about natural oils

Believing in the power of anti-aging creams, we are essentially unaware of the true effects of cosmetics on our skin. We evaluate the effect of cosmetics on the skin most often by external manifestations. However, we do not take into account the fact that some ingredients may not only be unhealthy, but also harmful.

What is included in the creams

Let’s twirl our jar in our hands, look for inscriptions in small print. Found it? We take a magnifying glass and read the composition.

Collagen – fine, just one nuance, what kind of collagen? Today, cosmetics manufacturers use several types of collagens – animal, plant and marine. Vegetable collagen is absorbed by our skin perfectly, marine collagen too, and animal collagen is not absorbed at all, the molecules are large. Instead of penetrating the skin, it stays on the surface, clogs pores, seals in toxins. And if it is not written what kind of collagen is included in the contents of our jar, then we should assume the worst, because animal collagen is the cheapest in production.

Elastin, in fact, provides our skin with elasticity, only – its own, and not the one that is obtained from a poor cow. It cannot penetrate the skin, again due to its high molecular weight, there is no benefit from it, except harm. There is only one type of elastin that both penetrates and benefits – Desmosin and Iso-Desmosine. How often do we find it in the formulations of creams? That’s what I’m talking about.

Hyaluronic acid – maintains water balance in skin cells, a thing, undoubtedly, useful if you use its low molecular weight form. That is, the same story as with collagen, the acid molecules must be small enough to penetrate the skin, otherwise the sense of it – just a beautiful name!

What else do we have written on the packaging in small letters?

Mineral oil– oil, but technical, which is made from petroleum and is used in industry as a lubricant and solvent. Cosmetics manufacturers claim that this ingredient has the ability to retain moisture in the skin. No questions, delays! Because it forms an impenetrable film on the surface of the skin, and together with moisture retains toxins, carbon dioxide and other waste products that are removed from our body through the skin. On the other hand, there is no access to oxygen in the skin, without which it, like any living organism, cannot function normally. From the same opera – paraffin oil, petrolatum, propylene glycol, all these are varieties of technical oil. Well, we cannot seriously think that some kind of crank mechanism and our face can be smeared with the same thing! And the manufacturers of cosmetics, obviously, do not see much difference.

And the apotheosis – Sodium lauryl sulfate -sls… In industry, it is used for washing and degreasing engines. It really removes grease from surfaces, completely, because it has the strongest corrosive properties, it is easier – it oxidizes. And also – SLS reacts with other ingredients, and nitrates are obtained, which are then absorbed into the bloodstream. In an amicable way – you shouldn’t even smear your heels with this muck.

Placental extracts (plancental extract) and royal jelly (royal bee jelly) – regular fairy tales for the naive, placebo, i.e. – dummy.

What else do we have there? Five of emulsifiers, stabilizers, flavors and preservatives. The cream should be stored for more than one day, and even more than one month, what is the shelf life of creams? On average, at least a year. That is, to all the other joy, we also preserve our poor physiognomy, so much so that Tutankhamun’s mummy will be envious!

Extracts, extracts, natural oils – there are no questions here, it is useful.

What conclusion can be drawn from all this?

We pay our hard-earned money, as a rule – not a small amount of money for a few dubious ingredients, a few – specifically harmful, placebos, emulsifiers, preservatives and a couple of useful ones. Moreover, the percentage is clearly not in the direction of useful ones.

About the properties of natural oils

Even before our grief – scientists invented a bunch of all kinds of rubbish, during the time of the same Tutankhamun, mummies were just – canned, sorry – they were embalmed, and the skin was lubricated with natural oils. And then, and now they are obtained from the seeds, seeds or nuclei of plants, using cold pressing, so all the healing properties are preserved. Now – oils are filtered industrially, so they can be stored for quite a long time, without any preservatives, stabilizers, additives and other dubious achievements of scientific thought.

Vegetable oil is a full complex of vitamins, microelements, biologically active substances and fatty acids, similar in composition to our sebum. Therefore, the oils are so well perceived by the skin as “related”, because of their absolute naturalness.

They nourish, moisturize, regenerate, tone, treat inflammation, normalize the secretion of the sebaceous glands, heal wounds. Natural oils contain the strongest natural antioxidants – polyunsaturated fatty acids, flavonoids and phytoestrogens.

You can use oils as a mask or cream, as a toning agent, for gentle cleaning, like a scrub. Masks made of them will help restore hair, here, after that sodium sulfate, which the manufacturers put into our shampoo!

Those. – oils can be used not only as a cosmetic product, natural and effective, but also as a medicinal one, to solve many problems.

Natural oils: moisturizing and nourishing

What do we need to make our skin look young and healthy? So that all three of its layers perform their functions.

The epidermis, the uppermost layer, must serve as a shield against heat, cold and bacteria, reflect ultraviolet rays, regulate temperature, and control moisture evaporation.

The dermis, the second layer, produce collagen, elastin and sebum, which are responsible for firmness and elasticity, and, importantly, provide moisture to the epidermis.

Hypodermis, lowest layer, base and shock absorber. This is where the facial muscles are located that support the structure of our skin. And which we already know how to train, from the article about faceforming. What did it say?

“To train the muscles of the face so that they are in good shape, this forces our skin to intensively produce collagen and elastin, which make it firm and elastic. In a word, young. ”

That is, on the one hand, we train the facial muscles, and on the other hand, we do not use any kind of chemistry, but moisturize and nourish using natural vegetable oils.

And what are they?

So, we moisturize. This, of course, is not hydration in its pure form, because water, as such, is not present in the oil, it is the restoration of the water balance of our skin. The balance is maintained by internal and external humidification systems.

Internal – this is when we do not drink coffee in buckets, not Coca-Cola and not energy drinks, but one and a half liters of pure non-carbonated water a day. Water enters through the walls of blood vessels into the dermis, where one part is retained by hyaluronic acid, and the other, rising to the surface, moisturizes the epidermis.

External system – when we moisturize the surface of the skin. In the epidermis there are substances that retain water, they are called “natural moisturizing factor”.

Healthy young skin has everything it needs to maintain water balance, that is, it should, ideally. But, we ourselves understand where he is now, that ideal. Ecology, ozone holes, stress, nights in front of the computer…. The outer layer of the epidermis becomes thin, the skin loses more moisture, the exchange of unsaturated fatty acids is disturbed – lipids are not produced, i.e. our shield becomes full of holes, to put it mildly.

Actually, when we say “moisturize with natural oils”, we mean – to normalize the natural moisturizing factor, and not by any means, but by substances that will be perceived by our skin as related.

And these very substances are part of vegetable oils.
